Dog tracks in bid for new audience

The Greyhound Racing Association has taken on its first retained PR agency as it bids to widen the sport’s spectator appeal.

A company owned by restaurateur Luke Johnson bought the six-track chain last year, and has pumped thousands of pounds into venue improvement.

It has now briefed Republic PR to position the tracks as an 'alternative night out' for young people and families.

Republic will also target companies and encourage them to use corporate boxes.
