Royal Doulton in bid for urban cool

Royal Doulton has asked home interest agency Hillgate PR to drive the modernisation of the classic china, glass and crystal brand, and launch a range of Gordon Ramsay tableware.

Ramsay's range will feature casual and fine dining sets, the latter to be used in his restaurants, including Claridge's.

Doulton's brands will be promoted in consumer and trade press, and more collaborations with well-known figures are in the pipeline.

Hillgate won the account after a six-way pitch. The previous incumbent was Shine Communications.
