Pleon expands on the continent

Pleon has bolstered its European presence with the creation of six offices, delving further into former Eastern Bloc countries.

The company has acquired Spin in Poland, while operations in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Romania and the Ukraine - all acquired in the past year - have now adopted the Pleon name after meeting company requirements.

'Pleon's parent Omnicom owns the companies for a period of time until they reach our targets, such as having at least 15 staff,' explained Pleon president Alex Schoep.

Pleon now has 31 branded European offices, and is looking to extend further this year, beginning in Bulgaria.

Staff will be retained at all six firms with Pleon representatives moving to Poland and Russia.
