Memorex calls in Pleon for Europe

Memorex has brought in Pleon to launch its 2006 range of data storage products in Europe.

The London-based campaign could also involve sponsorship promotion as Memorex expands into digital media. Sponsorship in the US has seen Memorex products included in gift baskets handed out to Grammy and Oscar nominees.

Pleon consumer director Eva Keogan said: 'The "Is it live or is it Memorex?" brand positioning is well established. Memorex has rebranded globally, so it is a good time to be on board.'

The firm has revamped its logo and put more focus on online music and video reproduction. Pleon takes over from Spreckley Partners on the brief, understood to be worth at least £100,000.

Sister agency Brodeur represents Memorex in the US and Canada.
