Rugby’s McIntosh shifts to Scotland

The Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) has outfoxed its English rival by poaching its performance comms manager.

The Rugby Football Union's Dee McIntosh will join the SRU next month as head of communications. She replaces Mike Keohane, who left in August to take up a corporate comms role at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

McIntosh said her new job would see her dealing with Scottish clubs, the national team, stakeholders and the Scottish Executive.

She will report to SRU chief exec Gordon McKie, who took charge in the summer and has vowed to fix the financial troubles of the in-debt governing body.
