My best hire

Victoria Reynolds, MD of The Ideas Network, on 'human dynamo' Charlotte Ann.

'Charlotte joined as a junior account executive in 2000 when we needed someone who could help run an event one day and mail out press packs at break-neck speed the next.

'Her cheerful personality and easy-going nature were a delight to clients and a tonic in the office when the pressure was on, and she was never afraid to get stuck in when the workload demanded.

'The memory that best illustrates her going beyond the call of duty was when I returned from a funeral to find that, without being asked, Charlotte had organised the packing up of my flat for the removal vans booked for that afternoon.

'She left us as an account manager in 2004, but I'd offer her a job again any day.'

Charlotte Ann now runs an eponymous catering business.
