Spink promotes Puragen launch

Spink Consumer Relations is handling the UK launch of dermal-filler product Puragen, used to correct wrinkles, enhance lips and improve depressed scars.

An event on 14 October at One Aldwych will see a leading dermatologist present an 'A-Z of Hyaluronic Acid'.

The agency is targeting opinion leaders and consumers to boost awareness of Puragen, from US firm Mentor Corporation. It is
also aiming to 'develop a practitioner base'.

Spink was called in after a non-competitive pitch. It is working alongside Resolute Communications, which was hired in May to handle pan-European PR for Puragen (PRWeek, 13 May).

Spink reports to Oxfordshire-based Mentor's UK head of aesthetics Frank Ward, with whom it formerly worked when he was at Sanofi-Aventis and Spink promoted its Newfill and Sculptra products.
