FSA in revamp of comms structure

The Financial Services Authority has restructured its corporate comms team following director of people and comms Vernon Everitt’s move to become director of retail themes and sector leader for consumers.

HR, merged with communications under Everitt two years ago (PRWeek, 17 October 2003), has reverted to its own department under director Kathleen Reeves.

The FSA's 32-strong comms team, which includes press office, web, public affairs and internal communications staff, is to get its own yet-to-be-recruited director.

The postholder will report directly to FSA chief executive John Tiner.
The FSA's next most senior PR people after Everitt, head of media and web comms Rob McIvor, and head of public affairs Christopher
Boyce, will report to the new communications director.

Everitt replaced Anna Bradley, who has left the authority.
