STOCKPORT Stockport Council has hired Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council comms officer John Spittlehouse as media enquiries officer. The post has been created to help deal with the increasing number of approaches from media, which have almost doubled in the past year.
KNOWSLEY Merseyside authority Knowsley Council has been lobbying for support for its proposed neighbourhood regeneration project at this week's Labour Party Conference in Brighton. ENGLAND Sport England has launched its Everyday Sport campaign to encourage the nation to be more active. It aims to have three per cent more people involved in physical activity by 2008, hitting Government targets. The drive is being handled by Hill & Knowlton. It is also being accompanied by TV and radio advertising.
