Capital cartoons on show

Drawings by London Mayor Ken Livingstone’s official cartoonist, Martin Rowson, are on show at an exhibition to promote the city as the home of the political cartoonist.

The eight-week exhibition at the Political Cartoon Gallery is using illustrations of London's landmarks and 'issues' by artists such as Guardian regular Steve Bell.

'There is a range of cartoons covering subjects from the Second World War  to the 7 July bombings,' said Penny Andrews, account manager at London Communications Agency, which is promoting the event.
