Greenwich in comms shake-up for regeneration

Four Communications has clinched the contract to promote the £5bn regeneration programme of the Greenwich Peninsula, on which O2 (formerly the Millennium Dome) is found.

Regeneration company Meridian Delta Ltd (MDL) has hired the agency to promote one of London's biggest-ever redevelopments following a five-way competitive pitch.

Four head of media relations Greg Moore said: 'The Greenwich Peninsula is mirroring what has happened in Canary Wharf.

'Our brief is to help sign up property developers, attract retailers and position it as a good place to live and work.'

The 20-year programme involves creating 10,000 homes, schools, medical facilities, transport systems and parkland, as well as 340,000 square metres of commercial space and 33,000 square metres of retail space.

MDL - a joint venture between Quintain Estates and Development and Lend Lease - had retained The London Communications Agency for four years before reviewing the account.
