Vinopolis bids for Bankside tourists

Wine centre and museum Vinopolis has stepped up PR activity in a bid to raise its profile as one of the top attractions in London's Bankside area.

Visitor numbers to Bankside are booming, with tourists flocking to Tate Modern, Borough Market and Shakespeare's Globe.

But after an investment and refurbishment programme that has produced new attractions such as a micro-brewery, Vinopolis has taken on Surrey-based Prowse & Co to promote the venue to Londoners.

An events programme includes tasting classes with wine expert Oz Clarke.
