Targeting the Middle East, UK, France, Italy and Germany, the country's General Authority for Freezones and Investment (GAFI) has hired F-H to run an integrated campaign highlighting economic reforms and opportunities for foreign companies.
F-H is believed to have fought off competition from Weber Shandwick, Hill & Knowlton and Burson-Marsteller for the account - the PR component of which is understood to be worth around £1m. DDB will handle the advertising element.
President Hosni Mubarak has been attempting to modernise Egypt's economy since 1991, and has introduced investment incentives.
F-H European regional director John Saunders said the focus would be the IT, automotive, oil, gas and tourism industries. He added that media relations would be supported by roadshows.
Mark Mortell is the relationship manager for the GAFI account.
