Thames' Page in Consolidated role

Consolidated Communications has recruited Thames Water public affairs manager James Page as an account director in its public affairs practice and number two to director of PA Ian Hagg.

Page joins next month after four and a half years at the utility company. During that time he worked on the 2003 Water Act and the last review of water industry pricing, which was completed at the end of last year.

He joined Thames, owned by German conglomerate RWE, in its local government lobbying team, where he remained for the first 18 months. Prior to Thames, he ran the press office of the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health.

Hagg joined Consolidated from British Gas last autumn (PRWeek, 5 November 2004). The PA division's clients include Energy Saving Trust and Coca-Cola Africa, for which it is handling a CSR programme alongside Burson-Marsteller and Africapractice.
