Diary: Mail pinpoints top industry bachelors

The Daily Mail kept three PR men's peckers up this Monday by naming them as among the 40 'most eligible bachelors in Britain'.

Freud Communications director Oli Wheeler is worth £2m and possesses a Chelsea townhouse 'renowned for its gigantic four-poster bed', the paper says.

Nav Sidhu, who runs Sidhu & Simon, is reportedly worth the same amount and 'frequently jets off to a holiday retreat in India'.

Last but not least, Frank & Earnest MD Brett Gregory Peake - who makes 'regular trips to Mustique' - also makes it in with a relatively paltry £1.5m.

The Mail is obviously keen to portray PR types as being flush with cash - only the previous week it featured Jo Spink, boss of healthcare agency Spink Consumer Relations, in a spread on millionaire female entrepreneurs.

A downturn in the marketing services industry? Don't believe a word.
