Virgin fights GCap with Eulogy brief

Virgin Radio has drafted in Eulogy PR to bolster its profile with advertisers as it faces fierce competition from larger rival GCap.

The station decided to bring in its first trade PR agency for 18 months following the merger of Capital Radio and GWR earlier this month.

'The radio market is changing,' said Virgin Radio head of PR Simon Horne.

'We need to reaffirm our presence and define our point of difference.'

Eulogy will argue that Virgin can offer a tailored approach to advertisers' needs.
