Hachette Filipacchi UK is to launch Psychologies magazine, the monthly glossy published in France, Italy and Spain, in September. The British version will have a dedicated UK team and will be aimed at 35 to 55-year-old women. The launch is overseen by Julie Harris, general manager of the publisher's women's group.

PRWeek publisher Haymarket has acquired trade magazine Media Week from Croydon-based Quantum Media. Editor Tim Burrowes left the title this week to join Campaign in the Middle East.

VNU Business Publications' Computer Reseller News was relaunched this week. Now known as CRN, the IT title has shrunk to 'laptop size' and is available as an e-book and online. The System Builder section has been renamed Integrator and will focus more heavily on product reviews. The editor is Sara Driscoll.

BBC Magazines is to add to its pre-teen portfolio with the launch of Mysti magazine this month. The monthly lifestyle title for eight to 12-year-old girls is a spin-off from TV programme The Mysti Show and includes celebrity and fashion content. The editorial director is Samantha McEvoy.

John Pullman, programme editor of ITV's evening news bulletin, is to become head of output for the English-language service of Arabic broadcaster Al Jazeera. He joins the 24-hour channel from ITN and was formerly head of news at Granada Television. He will report to deputy director of news Al Anstey.

Kerrang! Radio programme director Andrew Jeffries is moving to the same position at Kiss FM on 1 June. He replaces Simon Long, who is to become executive producer at independent production company Somethin' Else. Jeffries will report to Shaun Gregory, Emap managing director of national radio brands.

Reuters has launched a Middle-Eastern feed which will offer broadcasters news and features from the region, including five daily reports that will run from Sundays to Thursdays. Editorial is overseen by Reuters Television managing director Tony Donovan.

Jonathan Blake and Brian O'Neill are to join radio station LBC News as broadcast journalists. Blake was formerly at Manchester's Key 103 and O'Neill was a reporter on Sky News Radio.

European news channel EuroNews has launched in India. It will be available in seven languages on digital platform DishTV. EuroNews editorial director is Luis Rivas.

Channel 4 News political editor Elinor Goodman is to quit in July after more than 20 years with the programme. No replacement has been announced. She joined in 1982 from the Financial Times.

NEW MEDIA

Mirror.co.uk relaunched this week with more showbusiness news and 24-hour breaking news. It promises faster download speeds. The editor is Steve Purcell.

Future Publishing has relaunched T3.co.uk, a website for its gadget magazine. It will carry technology news, reviews, video footage and additional information on gadgets featured in the print version. The online editor is Mike Cooper.

The Lab, a WAP-based service, has been launched by multimedia content provider Buongiorno. Published weekly, it is sent to subscribers' mobiles and covers celebrity, music, sport and TV. It is edited by Fraser Lewry.

Jon Gisby will be responsible for content in his new role as MD of Yahoo! UK & Ireland and European media V-P. He replaces Fru Hazlitt, now chief executive of radio at SMG. Gisby was previously at Wanadoo.
