City & Corporate: Alfred McAlpine signs up Hogarth

Building services firm Alfred McAlpine has dropped City Profile as its retained financial comms adviser of two and a half years and hired The Hogarth Partnership.

McAlpine said it was making the change following a review of its advisers but declined to comment further.

Hogarth partners Rachel Hirst and James Longfield are leading the account.

Having sold its house-building business to Wimpey in 2001, McAlpine wants to remind the City and financial press that the majority of its business is now in the support services sector.
