Healthcare: TVF Comms bids for foothold in PR market

London-based medical communications agency TVF Communications is seeking to make inroads into the UK healthcare PR market by merging with, or acquiring, a healthcare agency.

The agency, part of TVF Group, is understood to have already approached independent UK healthcare PR companies with a view to an acquisition or merger to aid a planned business expansion.

A TVF spokesperson would only say: 'The company is growing and exploring several avenues to accelerate this growth.'

TVF has around 40 staff, with more than 30 handling day-to-day client work such as medical education, salesforce training, the production of sales material and 'creative' brand communications activity.

It currently handles a limited amount of PR activity. Clients include Pfizer, Roche, Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline. Senior figures at the agency include MD Rachel Farrow, business director Lynette Coetzee and finance director John Stannard.

The agency was established in 1982.
