Healthcare: Vitabiotics raises investment in PR

Vitabiotics has bolstered its PR team as it prepares to step up media relations activity behind brands such as Wellman, Wellwoman and Osteocare.

The vitamin maker has hired Niki Riley, formerly an account manager at Adventis, as senior PR executive and Skye Oxenham, who formerly worked in her native Australia for hotels giant Accor, as PR executive.

The duo report to comms manager Alexandra Hilton, who joined last year from Cohn & Wolfe (PRWeek, 2 July 2004).

Hilton said it was 'possible' that a PR agency would be hired later this year and further in-house PROs would be hired as the firm follows through on its pledge, made last year, to invest more heavily in PR.

PR manager Lynsey Morris left last and is now PR and comms manager at charity WellBeing of Women.

Other brands for which PR drives are in the offing include Menopace and Perfectil.
