Media Relations: Expotel seeks to 'clarify' identity

Expotel, the UK's largest corporate hotel reservation agency, is looking to raise its profile in trade and business media in a bid to better explain its range of services.

Following its acquisition of rival Venue Resource Group last month, Expotel PR manager Sharon Smith said it needed to 'clarify the brand' and the services it offers.

Expotel is primarily known as a hotel booker, but also offers rail and air booking, car hire, visa services and conferences and events, she added.

The PR campaign by Attenborough Associates will attempt to reach its corporate client base through national, business and trade press.

It has been hired on an initial six-month basis, as Expotel's first PR agency in more than three years.
