Public Sector: NHS urges locals to get fit for IOC

North East London NHS Strategic Health Authority is appealing to residents across its eight boroughs to get fit, as the International Olympic Committee's Evaluation Committee visits the area.

Called Fit for London 2012, the campaign, designed to give practical advice to people who want to get fit, features adverts on more than 100 local bus backs. These show people swimming, cycling, running and playing wheelchair tennis. There is also a poster and leaflet drive.

This quarter, the authority's magazine is an Olympic special edition.

Its 3,000 copies are available at GP surgeries and hospitals.

Fit for London 2012 also has its own website, www.fitforlondon2012.nhs.uk.
