Ptarmigan lands Npower contract

Britain's third-largest energy firm Npower has hired Ptarmigan as its retained consumer agency to help it 'make energy efficiency relevant' to households across the country.

Ptarmigan emerged victorious from a four-way agency scrap to win the contract, which includes community relations and promoting Npower's call centres.

Ptarmigan's immediate priority is to boost the profile of Npower's involvement in the government's Energy Saving Trust's (EST) £3m campaign to promote energy efficiency, details of which emerged earlier this week.

Leeds-based Ptarmigan will also promote a fresh TV ad featuring the two 'orbs' it has recently introduced as brand icons.
