Doodle Day to lift epilepsy profile

Celebrities including Charles Kennedy, Arsene Wenger and Maureen Lipman are participating in National Doodle Day on 25 February to highlight the learning difficulties created by epilepsy and related conditions.

Epilepsy Action and The Neurofibromatosis Association will benefit from funds raised from the event.

The public can enter their own doodles under the theme ‘your favourite thing’ on special cards purchased from event sponsor Lloydspharmacy. The retailer is the sole outlet for in-store donations and is putting up a £1,000 first prize. Celebrity doodles will be auction on www.nationaldoodleday.org.uk.

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder of nerve tissue that causes tumours, epilepsy and learning difficulties.
