CBS Insurance in investors drive

CBS Insurance Holdings, the second-largest Lloyd’s names agency, has hired Pelham Public Relations as it restructures its products to attract more rich investors.

CBS is working on a new product through which private investors can enter the insurance market, which CBS believes deters rich people from using their money to underwrite insurance.

The Lloyd’s insurance market has had to reinvent itself since the 1990s when asbestos losses discouraged names from accepting unlimited liability.

Limited liability names have increased through new member firms and Scottish limited partnerships.
