Greenwich takes on ‘cowboy’ tradesmen

The London Borough of Greenwich Council has launched an information pack for residents as part of a campaign to crack down on ‘cowboy’ tradesmen.

The ‘Handy Hints’ pack warns that tradesmen who ‘cold call’ can be unreliable and that their work can be costly to repair. The council has also launched a helpline and added a dedicated section on rogue traders to greenwich.gov.uk.

Member for community safety, Councillor Terry Hales, (pictured) joined a photocall at the launch last week.
