Media Relations: Rockport targets men’s magazines

US footwear and apparel brand Rockport is to target upmarket men’s magazines to raise its name in London and the South-East in a PR campaign that emphasises its comfort and technology behind the brand.

With a consumer target of affluent men aged 35 and over, Rockport will focus on Men’s Health and GQ, and rugby, golf and sailing titles, as it builds its profile outside the North-West and Wales.

Shine Communications has been appointed to handle the six-figure 12-month campaign that will feature celebrity sampling and use of Rockport’s sponsorship of the Wales rugby team.
