Henderson sets up financial comms shop Pelham

Former College Hill Associates partner James Henderson has re-emerged with his own financial and corporate communications shop.

Henderson, who quit College Hill earlier this year (PRWeek, 20 August), has set up Pelham Public Relations with former Citigate Dewe Rogerson associate director Charles Vivian, Hogarth Partnership associate director Chelsea Hayes and former operations director of insurance broker SCB, Mark Kerr-Smiley. Pelham begins trading on 15 November.

Vivian has been working as a freelance consultant since leaving CDR in 2003, while Hayes quit Hogarth last week. Kerr-Smiley will become operations director at Pelham.

Although the group has yet to win its first client, Pelham has already formed a partnership arrangement with New York-based PR shop Vistance Group.

Pelham hopes the deal will mean referrals from Vistance of clients with operations in the UK. Vistance is mainly concerned with reputation management and bills its clients on a project basis for work in crisis management and financial PR.

Two of Vistance’s principals, Ed Trissel and Jack Gutt, are Pelham’s main points of contact.
