Foo-Go relaunch in ‘green’ cartons

Sandwich and snack brand Foo-Go has begun a PR drive to relaunch itself with biodegradable packaging.

Foo-Go sells sandwiches, salads, drinks and desserts through Threshers+Food stores, LivingWell Health Clubs and WHSmith Travel.

It has an annual turnover of £7m and brought out the UK’s first biodegradable sandwich cartons in a £3.2bn sandwich market it claims produces six million sandwich wrappers a day.

The PR campaign targets food service and forecourt trade media to encourage retailers to stock the brand, as well as nationals, lifestyle and food titles.

Storm Communications won the six-month remit in a competitive pitch.
