Shelter ads offend DMG

Homelessness charity Shelter found itself in a spat with Ideal Home Show organiser DMG World Media last week over a publicity stunt after it booked ad space at Earl’s Court tube station.

DMG asked the charity to remove the posters depicting bad housing conditions while a London Underground station manager withdrew permission to hold a photocall in the station.

The charity was seeking to highlight the disparity between the nation’s hunger for DIY and the plight of children affected by bad housing.
