The business, which includes exam-marker Edexcel and Longman text books, accounts for two thirds of Pearson’s sales. Lincoln is charged with communicating Pearson’s position in the market to the City, government and education community.
She will report to Pearson group director of comms Luke Swanson, who refused to comment.
Lincoln has spent the last three years at the DTI and seven years in government comms. Before joining the DTI, she was special adviser to Margaret Jay when Jay was minister for women and then leader of the House of Lords.
