Edelman wins US health bodies job

Washington: Edelman has secured a one-year US contract worth around £500,000 from the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

The agency is to revamp the bodies’ Powerful Bones, Powerful Girls campaign, which encourages young girls to exercise and drink milk.

The campaign has been run by Porter Novelli for the past five years. It will relaunch next year after Edelman’s recommendations. The bodies will then either stay with Edelman or issue a request for proposals.
