NextFifteen kills off Joe Public Relations brand

NextFifteen Communications has scrapped the brand name of its consumer division Joe Public Relations as it completes the integration of JPR with sister agency August.One Communications.

August.One MD Sophie Brooks said the firm wrote to inform clients last week that the agency’s consumer division would be integrated with the August.One brand. ‘We feel that Joe Public is now fully integrated so it was getting a bit complicated and confusing when we talked to clients about the company,’ said Brooks.

The move follows JPR’s merger with August.One last year. Since the acquisition, August.One has seen the departure of former JPR founder and MD Matt Wood to run Fishburn Hedges consumer shop SeventySeven (PRWeek, 25 June). JPR has

lost several clients since the merger, including eBay, Casio and 3 this year.

Meanwhile, JPR associate director Rueben Milne has resigned. Milne worked on the consumer division’s Umbro and The Mad Group accounts. He

is setting up a Cambridgeshire-based creative design consultancy.
