Arts Council plugs Lottery’s birthday

Arts Council England is to launch a campaign to promote the tenth anniversary of the National Lottery, which takes place on 6 November.

As one of the 14 lottery distribution bodies, the council will be promoting the public benefit of lottery investment in the arts such as the Angel of the North sculpture in Newcastle and the refurbishment of the Royal Opera House.

Managing the campaign will be Colman Getty PR, which won the business following a three-way pitch against Zest and Lawson Dodd.

Arts Council England has distributed £2bn to the arts over the past ten years. Other distributors include arts councils for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and sports councils.
