Why is Italy important?
Italy is a growing market, as people find Spain and France are becoming overpopulated with British people. People are also more willing to look further afield. Italy is more in tune culturally and in culinary terms with the affluent middle classes who are buying overseas.
What Italian credentials do you have?
We have taken on board Simon Stansfield, who was a publisher at Merricks Media, which produces four country-specific magazines, and we have found a range of people living and working in Italy to provide content. Stansfield’s background with people buying and selling overseas will get us in touch with people who are already in Italy ‘living the dream’.
What can UK PROs contribute?
Not only will we be covering Italian homes and holidays, but we also want to hear about any Italian products and brands.
What regular features are there?
Every issue there will be a region-based property guide. We’ll also feature regions from a travel point of view. We have an Italian book review section and a product review section, and we look at food and wine. So there should be lots of opportunities for PROs in the magazine.
Is it a one-off read for homebuyers and holidaymakers?
There will be features and reviews that encourage readers to come back. It will give those people who may have already bought a house in the country an opportunity to keep in touch with what’s going on in Italy.
