Festival Place in broadcast drive

Basingstoke shopping destination Festival Place is to target local TV and radio to extend its reach among younger families living within 45 minutes of the site.

Brand communications and design agency Klein O’Rorke, which recently hired BGB Communications associate director Nick Thornton as its first head of PR, has been appointed to handle Festival Place’s £100,000 PR account following a four-way pitch that did not include incumbent BGB.

Thornton said regional TV and radio play a large role in positioning Festival Place as a regional hub.

The consumer campaign will promote the diversity of the site’s services, while a trade campaign will attempt to woo aspirational fashion retailers to Festival Place.
