South West steps up promo drive

The South West England Regional Development Agency is to launch the third phase of its campaign to promote the region to businesses and tourists from autumn through to next spring.

The £1m campaign will be managed by Prowse & Co and McCluskey International. It will run until March 2005, promoting the six-county region under the South West England banner created by brand consultancy Wolff Olins.

A spokesman said: ‘The aim is to highlight ten different holiday experiences. We want to ensure that the six counties complement each other, making for a much stronger overall product.’
