Holocaust tales set for memorial

The Home Office is to use first-hand stories from survivors and liberators of Nazi death camps to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2005 on 27 January, 60 years after prisoners were set free.

Ethnic minority, faith and gay press will be a target of the campaign, but ‘there is a strong desire for this to be a major concern of the mainstream press’, said Luther Pendragon consultant Meg Baker.

The Home Office hired the agency to the task after a pitch against Geronimo PR and incumbent Citigate Communications.

‘There will be a large number of first-hand witnesses,’ Baker said.
