The agency was selected through a bid process in the US, which included other agencies with a regional presence in Latin America, according to Fabio Auricchio, who will head the account in Brazil.
Claudia Gioia, managing director of BM's innovation and technology practice for Latin America will co-ordinate the account out of the agency's Miami office. She will work with senior associate Gina Carriazo, reporting to Arturo Bustamante, Symantec's PR manager for Latin America.
Other local agency staff are Luis Carlos Rabago in Mexico, Barbara Rochefort in Chile, Diana Tamayo in Colombia and Milagros Rodriguez in Costa Rica.
B-M will provide a package of PR services with focus on media relations corporate communications. Auricchio said, 'we will be reinforcing the message that Symantec is the world leader in information security for the corporate market.'
