Brighton pushes ‘online weddings’

Brighton and Hove City Council has launched a campaign to promote online registry office weddings.

The campaign promotes web-streaming technology, which allows people to watch wedding ceremonies live via the internet.

It is being handled by The Priory Partnership as part of a wider brief to promote weddings and civil ceremonies in the region. It is targeting the national and local press, as well as specialist and bridal publications.

The campaign kicked off with the first couple to use the service – the bride’s family watched the ceremony online in their native Japan.
