Parentline plugs drug-use report

Family charity Parentline Plus is embarking on a PR and lobbying campaign to publicise the findings of its latest report, which calls for extra funding and better-informed support services for the parents of drug-using children.

The media relations campaign will target support service professionals and policy-makers through the specialist and national press, and parents and carers through regional newspapers, women’s magazines and parenting titles.

The report is also being promoted to MPs, senior civil servants, statutory agencies and other related charities.

Parentline director of external relations Jan Fry claimed parents were ‘still bewildered and ill-informed’ about drug misuse among children.
