Diary: Bosch team 'runs' for asthma charity

Reaching the finish line as quickly as possible is not always the goal in the London Marathon, as demonstrated by three dedicated Bosch employees this month.

When you are dressed as a PSB 1000 RCA Hammer Drill, which coincidently hit the shelves of B&Q and Homebase this week, the aim is to spend as much time in the public spotlight as possible.

Pre-empting a campaign by Paskett PR to launch the dust-extraction drill, Bosch marketing assistant Ben Wilde, who must be looking to fast-track his way up the Bosch corporate ladder, laboured inside the 10kg suit, ably supported along the 26-mile route by dust cloths Steve Askew and Ross Cunliffe to raise money for the National Asthma Campaign.

However, PRWeek wonders whether they out-stayed their welcome after five-and-a-half hours when they were beaten home by a 93-year-old speedster.
