Lee leaves GA to launch own firm

Howard Lee, former vice-chairman of Gavin Anderson Worldwide, has quit after more than 20 years at the financial agency and its predecessor firm Vallin Pollen.

Lee resigned from GA on 6 April and is to launch his own strategic consultancy The HeadLand Consultancy next month.

He will continue to work with FTSE 100 client Johnson Mathey, although the contract for the chemicals company will remain with GA. ‘I have many friends at GA and I am delighted that I will continue to work with them,’ Lee said.

Lee has worked with GA Worldwide chief executive Richard Constant since 1986 when the pair were at Vallin Pollen.

Lee and Constant joined forces with communications group Omnicom in 1991, after Vallin Pollen went into receivership, to merge the stricken company into GA’s worldwide network.

Lee, who was also chairman of GA in London, has been acting as a part-time special adviser to GA for the last 15 months.
