Red to handle PR for Plymouth Gin

Maxxium UK has appointed The Red Consultancy to handle consumer PR for its Plymouth Gin brand as it prepares to flourish a ‘significant increase’ in PR spend.

According to Maxxium comms manager Susy Atkinson, the increase is in line with sales growth of 33 per cent last year. Activity comprises a sampling programme supported by a media relations push to raise the brand’s profile with gin’s traditional market – ABC1s aged over 35 – as well as younger drinkers.

Red won the account following a pitch against Shine Communications and incumbent Su-Lin-Ong.
