Upward Curve to brand Aylesbury

Aylesbury Vale District Council in Oxfordshire has engaged not-for-profit specialist Upward Curve PR to develop a campaign and brand for the region, funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

The initiative is being led by a partnership comprising the South East England Development Agency and local authorities including Buckinghamshire County Council.

Aylesbury Vale has been identified under the Government’s Sustainable Communities Plan as a major growth area, with 59,000 new homes planned within the next 30 years and 39,000 extra jobs projected by 2031.

The campaign will support the council’s drive to encourage existing businesses to stay and attract new residents, businesses, shoppers and tourists to the area.

Upward Curve account manager Sarah Guthrie said: ‘[The campaign] is to give the district an identity. We are in the research stages at the moment, talking to residents and businesses in focus groups, and the results of

the research will form our strategy.’
