Consumer pr: Andrew Wiles has been appointed director of comms at fashion brand Alfred Dunhill. Wiles, formerly marketing director at Thomas Pink, replaces Peter Cross, who joined AD’s marketing agency Yellow Door as managing partner (PRWeek, 27 February).
B2B PR: The United Egg Producers, a US trade body, has hired Golin/Harris International as its agency of record. The agency, which is to run the account out of its Atlanta office, will promote eggs to groups such as food retailers, in addition to consumers.
Appointment: Birmingham-based marcoms group HRO’C has promoted deputy MD Carl Hazard to managing director. He replaces Steve Riley, who has been confirmed as chairman. Mark Conway continues as MD of the seven-strong PR division.
Community Relations: Unilever Bestfoods has launched a PR campaign targeting Hispanic voters via Miami-based Hispania Public Relations. It will be tied to Unilever promotion La Plaza del Sabor, which sets up mock plazas at Hispanic events.
Consumer PR: McCann-Erickson PR is to launch a consumer PR offensive for radiator manufacturer Stelrad. Stelrad is part of The Caradon Group, for which the agency already handles trade PR.
B2B PR: Branding consultancy Henrion Ludlow Schmidt has hired Pirate Communications to handle its UK PR. Account director Ged Carroll heads the account team in London.
Consumer PR: Starfish Communications is to launch a PR push for Shirley Darby, a master practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). The practice ofNLPis said to have applications including better interpersonal communications.
