MotorSport plans consumer push

Race circuit owner MotorSport Vision is setting up a consumer PR team ahead of a media push to promote its racing events and retail track days.

The intensive six-month media relations programme will target regional and national newspapers, radio, TV, and lifestyle and motor sport magazines.

MotorSport Vision is looking for a second press officer for the in-house team being set up to run the campaign with strategic advice from Performance PR.

‘We want to increase customers by raising awareness about the entertainment value of motor racing in the press, especially around present-buying seasons like Father’s Day and Christmas,’ said Performance PR director Andrew Francis.

MotorSport Vision was founded in January by former Formula 1 grand prix driver Jonathan Palmer.
