Waterstone’s job goes to Camron

Bookstore Waterstone’s has appointed Camron PR to manage its consumer account following a four-way pitch against Weber Shandwick, Cohn & Wolfe and The Braben Company.

Camron takes over from Harrrison Cowley. Camron will work on a project basis, including a features programme, which will target the broadsheets in the run-up to the busy book-buying period in the summer.

Waterstone’s PR manager Jo Marino said: ‘We used to run the PR on a retained scheme but there are times of the year we need to focus on, such as Christmas and summer, so we broke it down.’
