Leech, who takes up the post in April, said: ‘[Salford] is not a bigger team but it will be a more focused remit without web development and alumni.
‘Salford is investing in its campus and has a well-established marketing department.’
In her new role, Leech will report to Salford’s director of external relations, Paula Betteridge.
The corporate comms head at Bradford is responsible for a ten-strong team and all aspects of the university’s communications, publications and publicity material, internal comms, external comms, web design, alumni and events.
The Bradford replacement for Leech will report to director of marketing and corporate communications Alison Darnbrough.
