Lastminute corporate comms manager Lucy Dare said the company wanted to take advantage of Gavin Anderson’s European network to give a consistent message to investors across Europe.
The move follows Lastminute’s acquisition last year of Europe’s largest car rental business, Holiday Autos, and the hotel chain group Med Hotels.
Gavin Anderson replaces Hudson Sandler, which has held the Lastminute account since 2002 when it beat three-year incumbent Citigate Dewe Rogerson.
Gavin Anderson CEO Neil Bennett reports to Lastminute co-founder Brent Hoberman on the account.
The travel firm this week announced that it had acquired First Option Hotel Reservations for £12.1m.
